Request Account Deletion
This page explains how users of the COA The Matchmaker mobile app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
Request deletion by emailSteps to Delete Your Account
- Send an email to [email protected] from the email address used in your COA The Matchmaker account.
- Include your full name and the email address connected to your account.
- We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before deletion.
- After verification, we will delete or anonymize your account data within 30 days.
Data That Will Be Deleted
When your account deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymize:
- Account profile information such as name, email and password.
- Profile image and editable profile fields.
- Private messages where deletion is technically possible.
- Uploaded personal photos where deletion is technically possible.
- Authentication tokens and verification/reset tokens.
Data That May Be Kept
Some data may be kept if it is necessary for security, legal, anti-fraud, dispute resolution or league record integrity. This may include:
- Historical match, tournament and ranking records, which may be anonymized instead of fully removed.
- Server logs needed for security, debugging and abuse prevention.
- Records required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Retention Period
Most account deletion requests are processed within 30 days after verification. Limited technical logs or legally required records may be retained for a longer period when necessary.
